7. Contract description
The Technical Assistance will: a) select 7 long term veterinary border inspection points (VBIPs) of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs; b) prepare a comprehensive study of the latter assessing in detail their upgrading/renovation and construction needs in line with EU standards c) prepare detailed designs, including site plans, list of building works and equipment required, bills of quantity, technical specifications for equipment and facilities, for each selected VBIP including implementation plan, timescales and estimated costs; d) prepare one Tender Dossier and provide assistance in the tendering procedure; e) supervise works all along the construction period and up to the completion of the defects liability period for one (or maximum two) of the VBIP sites.

The award of this contract is subject to the accreditation of the CFCU by the European Commission.
11. Legal basis
Council Regulation Nr. (EC) 2500/2001 of 17 December 2001 concerning pre-accession financial assistance for Turkey and amending regulations (EEC) No. 3906/89, (EC) No. 1267/1999, EC) No. 1268/1999 and EC No 555/2000.
